Sustainability Branding Guidelines

Adding the certified-sustainable seals to your wines is quite simple. We’ve done the hard part for you (getting certified)- all you as a winemaking partner need to do is complete the licensing paperwork and add the seal(s) to your wine labels.

These certification seals signify a third-party audited commitment to rigorous, scientifically sound sustainable winegrowing. 

Process

  1. Confirm your wine contains a minimum of 85% certified-sustainable fruit. All estate fruit from Zillah Vineyards is certified, as well as some of our managed sites. Please review our vineyard list for vineyard-specific certifications.

    • 2020 - RULES for Sustainable Winegrowing

    • 2022 - Sustainable WA

    • 2024 - Salmon-Safe

  2. Request/complete licensing paperwork from the respective certifying bodies:
